My name is Keely Schild and I am from Yankton, South Dakota. I graduated from South Dakota State University in May of 2021 with a bachelor's degree in interior design and with a minor in studio arts. I am now attending Mitchell Technical College for Small Business Managment and Administrative Office Specialist and will complete that spring of 2023.
What inspired me to choose interior design was that I can help each client’s individual style emerge into a design that will inspire and promote their well-being. I believe that a person’s physical and mental health is the core of the whole design and can be improved and preserved throughout spaces. I believe the design philosophy I adhere to is comfort. Creativity and inventiveness that inspires and improves the quality of life and work yet are comfortable. What inspires me is nature: proportions and textures translated into architecture and design. There are so many possibilities. I'm also fascinated with a place's history and people-- they are so key to a sense of place and soul.

In the summer of 2020, I was able to intern at LOI Design Group located in Lincoln, NE. Through this internship experience, I was able to work alongside interior designers, customers, and contractors to design, bid, and build residential projects in Lincoln, Nebraska and participate in the work culture at LOI.
